Peer Academic Coaching (PAC) consists of one-on-one academic coaching and strategy building for STEM courses. Students are paired with peer coaches who have successfully navigated the course and who are trained in helping others to build and implement study strategies for STEM courses.

While P2L (Peer Led Learning) is beneficial for most students in  STEM courses, PAC is recommended for students who have tried P2L and need additional support.

All services, PAC, P2L and MCLC are FREE for enrolled UVA students. 

How To Make an Appointment

To book an appointment for CHEM, BIO, PHYS2010/2020, STAT or MATH please use the Search box for Peer Academic Coaching (PAC). 

To book an appointment for APMA or PHYS1425/2415 for engineers, or other Engineering (SEAS) courses please use the Search box for SEAS Tutoring. 

To book: 

1. Select the course you would like to make an appointment. The website will only show you courses which you are enrolled and there are coaches available.
2. The results will load one day at a time, more results can be loaded by clicking the “Load more for [the following day]” at the bottom of the screen.  Click on the appointment you would like. 
3. Fill out the prompts provided and click "Confirm". 
4. After the appointment is confirmed, please upload any relevant documents (class notes/assignments) to the documents tab. 

Notes on making appointments: 

• All appointments are FREE for enrolled students. 

• You can book appointments up to 48 hours ahead of time for up to two weeks in advance. 

• If you would like to book reoccurring appointments for the semester duration, please contact us at [email protected] 

• Late cancellations and no-shows may result is discontinued access to the services.
